Buz grew up in Merced graduating from Merced High School. He attended Merced College and transferred to UC Davis and graduated with a BS is Agriculture Managerial Economics. He went back to school at Cal Poly to get his Ag Teachers Credential and Masters. He met his wife, Chelsea in Yosemite, and they have two kids, Owen and Mackenzie. Buz coaches the Natural Resources Team, Novice Parliamentary Procedure Team, and Project Competition.
